ADHD has been, and continues to be, a big part of my family. In our house, we refer to ADHD as a “gift that comes with responsibilities.” When my son was diagnosed with ADHD, we were fortunate to find an education specialist and pediatrician who understood ADHD and helped us learn more about successfully managing it. We learned how to see strengths of ADHD (like leadership, dedication, enthusiasm, and critical thinking) and use them to overcome the challenges (like planning, organizing, time management, and project completion). I saw the power that coaching had in fostering a positive association with ADHD. The mom in me felt excited that I could successfully relate to my son and instill confidence in him. To use my son’s words, “I get him.”
This is what inspired me to become a certified ADHD life coach. I want to help other children and adults understand ADHD and see the power it provides them. Through my training at the iACT Center, I have learned skills specific to coaching individuals with ADHD and helping them find their way to success.
I named my business, “Coaching is Key for ADHD” because I see coaching as a key that helps you navigate ADHD in your own successful way. As an ADHD life coach, I will help you discover more about yourself and go from stuck and confused to clear and confident.
My professional journey
I have a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Washington, where I also competed for the gymnastics team. Upon graduation, I moved back to my hometown in NJ and started my professional career as a dietitian. As a certified ADHD life coach, I have been helping individuals with ADHD work toward their goals and learn more about themselves. I enjoy sports, traveling, and time with family.
